Christine Keeler is a British model and was a central figure in the Profumo Affair, a major political scandal that took place during the early years of British Prime Minister John Profumo's government. She was a "blonde bombshell" who had been engaged to Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh before she became involved with British Secretary of War John Profumo. The affair became widely known after it was revealed in the press. In 1962, she was charged with perjury and conspiracy to pervert the course of justice
In 1964, she was found guilty and sentenced to ten months in prison, which she served at Holloway Prison in London.
